Heat causes swimming ban in Kiev

Swimming is temporarily forbidden on Pushcha-Voditsa beach, Lake Radunka and Lake Telbin.

The Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Ukraine decided a temporary ban on swimming in some water bodies of Kiev.

The press service of city of Kiev announced that the high air temperature resulted in a temporary non-compliance with the water quality in these reservoirs, which lead to the closure of Garaschiha beach, Pushcha-Voditsa beach, Lake Radunka, Lake Telbin, some strands of the Dniepr such as Molodejniy beach, Predmestnaya Slobodka beach, and Desenka beach.

The city has put up signs in the areas near these bodies of water informing people of the swimming ban.
